What is collected
The setting
Daniel keeps traffic analytics off and behaviour analytics off, nothing is collected.
That sentence is in the footer of every page here, and it is built from one setting in this site's own configuration. Change the setting and this page changes with it, in the same bake — there is no second place where it could say something else.
What is never collected
Whatever the setting, none of this is ever sent anywhere:
- your name
- your email address
- anything you type except a search that found nothing
- the reading-memory record in your browser
- your IP address
The one thing you type that is ever sent is a search that found nothing, and only when behaviour analytics is on. It is sent because the owner needs it to write the page you were looking for.
How long it is kept
Nothing is collected, so there is nothing to keep and nothing to delete.
Reading memory is a different question
This page is about what is sent to the owner. The reading memory — the record of the pages you opened and how far you got — is kept in your own browser, only after you say yes, and is never sent anywhere. Neither answer is ever taken for the other: saying no here leaves the reading memory exactly as it was, and saying yes there tells this site nothing.
